Bilingual Pre-Litigation AttorneyPosition OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) Pre-Litigation Attorney to manage and resolve personal injury claims before filing suit. The attorney will evaluate incoming matters, conduct factual and legal investigations, develop demand and settlement strategies, and negotiate with insurers and opposing counsel. This role emphasizes client communication, case management, and achieving timely, cost-effective resolutions while preparing files for litigation when necessary.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate new personal injury matters, review medical records, liability evidence, and police reports to determine strengths and exposure.Conduct pre-litigation investigations including witness interviews, site inspections, and coordination with medical providers and experts.Prepare comprehensive demand packages, settlement analyses, and pre-suit correspondence to insurers and opposing counsel.Negotiate settlements with insurers, defense counsel, and third parties to resolve claims prior to filing suit.Manage a caseload from intake through resolution, meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate case notes and file organization.Advise and counsel clients on case status, strategy, realistic outcomes, and next steps; provide culturally sensitive support for bilingual clients.Coordinate with litigation attorneys to transition matters that cannot be resolved pre-suit, including drafting pleadings and transfer of files.Ensure compliance with all applicable statutes of limitations, court rules, and firm policies; maintain high ethical and professional standards.QualificationsExperience handling personal injury matters with a focus on pre-litigation claim investigation and settlement.Demonstrated experience negotiating with insurance carriers and opposing counsel to reach favorable pre-suit resolutions.Bilingual/Fluent in SpanishStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skills; ability to prepare clear demand letters and settlement analyses.Excellent interpersonal and client-management skills, with an ability to explain legal concepts in plain language and provide compassionate client care.Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.Proficiency with case management software and standard office technology; valid drivers license and ability to travel to client meetings and site inspections as needed.
